Zumbathon for Lung Cancer

A personal campaign sponsored by Juanita Segura

February 3, 2018

My name is Juanita Segura and I am a lung cancer survivor! I was diagnosed with NSCLC adenocarcinoma stage 3B ALK+ in 2014. During this difficult journey I promised myself that I would do whatever it takes to help raise money for lung cancer research and to bring awareness. During my 3 year journey I've become a business woman and open up my very own CrossFit gym (Region Rat CrossFit) and help people get fit, healthier and stronger! At my CrossFit I have fundraising events to raise money for lung cancer research! This is my 2nd annual Zumbathon for Lung Cancer, last year it went very well and it helped my husband and I go to the National Hope Summit in DC. So I decided to continue it and the help raise money and awareness.

Region Rat CrossFit's 2nd Annual Zumbathon for Lung Cancer event will be held on Saturday February 3rd to raise money to fight lung cancer—and we need your help!

Proceeds from this event will benefit LUNGevity Foundation, the leading private provider of research funding for lung cancer and will help me go to 2018 National Hope Summit in DC.

LUNGevity Foundation is firmly committed to making an immediate impact on increasing quality of life and survivorship of people with lung cancer by accelerating research into early detection and more effective treatments, as well as providing community, support, and education for all those affected by the disease.

Please join us in our efforts to stop lung cancer—the leading cancer killer—now!
